Administration Joomla! 5.x • Assign media folder to category

I use JCE Editor which allows the setting of default media folders for different user/access level groups. What I would really like to do, however, is assign a media folder to a specific category. For example, we have a gallery each year and, currently, the images are all being uploaded by another user to the main /images folder, which is getting rather full. I don't want to restrict the user to a single folder, as they also need to access other folders.

Is this possible, or should I put it in as a feature request?
