I moved an entire cpanel account from one server to another using the WHM transfer tool. After doing so two of the joomla sites in the account work fine, but on one when you go to the root domain it just downloads the raw index.php file instead of opening it in the browser.
However, if I put domain.com/index.php it opens normally. If I click on any of the other links on the page it works except for the HOME link which tries to go to the domain.com without the index.php on it. It worked fine on the old server so not sure what is going on. I know I can put something in htaccess to forward to index.php but I would prefer that the bare domain name work without it.
I have tried removing the htaccess and replacing it with the default htaccess.txt.
Any ideas?
